Chantal Kreviazuk and Gordon Lightfoot will give special performances at a fundraising gala on September 10 in Toronto to celebrate the life and legacy of David Suzuki.

“Dr. Suzuki and his foundation have been an inspiration for me over the years,” says Kreviazuk, a musician and dedicated environmentalist. “I’m honoured to be performing for him that night and to celebrate all that he and his foundation have achieved.”

Alberta Film Animals is looking for dogs, cats and birds to appear in an upcoming series called Pet Heroes.

The show is currently filming around Alberta, although no air date has been set.

A casting call for obedient dogs will be held Saturday at Country Living, located at the S.W. corner of Hwy. 7 and Southridge Dr. in Okotoks.

We all know Steven Slater is the JetBlu flight attendant who quit his job in an amazing "take this job and shove it" way!

When it landed at JFK, tempers flared again when one woman who's bag had to be gate-checked, few into a rage because it wasn't waiting for her -- and that's when she cursed-out poor Steven.

Pamela Anderson was supposed to launch a new animal-rights campaign in Montreal this week -- but when city officials got a "peek" at it, they said...NON!!
In the PETA ad, Pam's bikini-clad body is marked up like a butcher's diagram, with her parts marked accordingly like "Breast" (!!), Shoulder, Ribs and Rump.
The caption reads: "All animals have the same parts -- Have A Heart, Go Vegetraian!!!

More Mel Gibson audio has hit the web, and it ain't pretty!  In this rant, Mel is so angry he can barely breathe, as he hurls insults at his ex-girlfriend Oksana Grigorieva.
If these tapes are legit, it could mean jail time for Mel, because he admits to hitting Oksana -- while she's holding their baby daughter.
In other news, Mel has offered Oksana $20-million to settle their bitter dispute -- but she refused to take the deal because it would give Mel partial custody, something she doesn't want for their child.
